Rick Whittaker, General Manager

Rick has been the Executive Director of the Wellington-Waterloo Community Future’s for the past 15 years as well as acting as Project Lead for the Community Paramedic Monitoring Project. Rick attended Wilfrid Laurier University for Business and Psychology and the University of Guelph for International Development. Rick is an entrepreneur and has started several businesses as well as serving two terms of Municipal Council in the Region of Waterloo and the Kitchener Hydro Commission Board of Directors.

 

Tina Heathers, Business Coach

Tina Heathers specializes in small business training and development. She has been working with business coaching and training for the past 25 years. A business owner herself for many years, including owning and operating a chain of fashion retail stores, and running her own international training company, Tina now works with business owners to empower them to create and operate successful businesses in their own communities.
She has a passion for discovering personal and professional greatness. Her background includes many years of corporate management, professional business training, personal business coaching and entrepreneurship development.

 

Jane Shaw, Accounts Manager


Over the past 10 years, Jane Shaw has provided account services to Wellington-Waterloo Community Futures. Jane helps educate business owners with QuickBooks Desktop/Online, Wave Accounting, HubDoc, TSheets and other programs that will keep their business organized and efficient. Jane also tracks, monitors and manages the many business loans funded with WWCF. She continues to expand her knowledge and education with regular enrollment in bookkeeping/accounting courses and is working towards her designation.

 

Paula Baker, Office Coordinator

Paula grew up in the Caledon area and raises her 3 children in the Erin area. Before working with the WWCF Paula’s career background included Account Management in mortgages, working in Regional Offices and then to Head Office in London. During a merger, The Mortgage Division was moved to Winnipeg. This brought Paula to Insurance and Investments Division within the Corporation.
Paula has been with WWCF since 2013. She enjoys working with and assisting the businesses within our rural areas. Paula has embraced public speaking after being involved with ToastMasters and has moved on to becoming a workshop facilitator with True Colors Personality Training.

 

Jenna Morris, Economic Development Officer

Jenna Morris brings curiosity, enthusiasm and a Millennial point-of-view to the team. Jenna’s role is to identify and facilitate development opportunities for expanding the local economy as well as to support initiatives within local municipality offices. She brings business, research, and community knowledge with her to help increase the strength of our network. Jenna holds a Business Diploma and is currently working towards her certified Economic Development Professional designation at the University of Waterloo.
